Ladder Rails

We have many years experience of sourcing ladder rails and have visited many ladder rail manufacturing facilities throughout Europe and the Far East, so we know exactly what we are talking about. Feel The Heat only supply products which offers the best quality to price ratio. Our ladder rails are exclusive to Feel The Heat and are not available from anyone else in the UK.

Points To Consider When Purchasing Heated Towel Rails.

  • Vertical Tubes – specification is standard with most manufacturers using 30mm x 40mm x 1.5mm “D” profile tubes.
  • Cross tube diameter – although the standard used to be 25mm diameter, and there are still some manufacturers using this tube, the industry standard now is 22mm diameter which offers best cost and efficiency. Some ladder rails are now using 19mm tubes, cheaper but not as efficient. Our ladder rails have 22mm tubes.
  • Number of cross tubes – cost can be taken out by reducing the number of cross tubes. Not only does this reduce cost but the ladder rail is much more less efficient in heat output. Our ladder rails have 16 tubes on the 800mm high model, 24 tubes on the 1200 high model and 34 tubes on the 1700mm model.
  • Heat Output – to comply with BS EN442, heat outputs MUST be displayed at Dt50C. Some companies are still trying to get away with using the old Dt60C, which makes their ladder rail appear to be 25% more efficient, which is NOT the case. Please contact us for clarification / advice on this.
  • Plating thickness – this is very important and reducing the thickness of the plating process can drastically reduce costs. Our ladder rails have a minimum 35 microns of copper, followed by a minimum 15 microns of nickel before the final chrome plating process. This gives a “mirror” finish. Please contact us for clarification / advice.
  • Packaging – our ladder rails are fitted with hard plastic corner protectors, shrink wrapped and then put in a strong, fully enclosed box, and then shrink wrapped again, ensuring the product is fully protected.
  • Warranty – We offer 5 years on all our ladder rails. Be wary of 1 year warranties, and also be suspicious of 10 year warranties!

These are the points / questions that need asking when considering purchasing ladder rails, but please call us for further clarification or advice. We are here to help.
