Ladder Rails

  • Q. Can an electric Ladder Rail be used on a normal heating system?
  • A. No. Electric Ladder Rails are “stand alone”. They come fully assembled with element fitted, filled with fluid and only require to be fitted to your wall and electrically connected.

  • Q. What Ladder Rail do I need to replace my existing bathroom radiator?
  • A. You just need a standard Ladder Rail and a pair of valves. You will probably have to move your pipes to suit the Ladder Rail.

  • Q. What does “dual fuel” mean?
  • A. Dual fuel is when a Ladder Rail is fitted within a standard central heating system, but also has an optional electric element fitted as well. This allows the Rail to be used when central heating is on in winter, but also allows the Rail to be used in the summer months when heating is off, by switching to electric.

  • Q. How would I know what element to buy for my Ladder Rail?
  • A. We will always advise you on your requirements, but as a “rule of thumb” we would use a 300 Watt element for Ladder Rail heights up to 1200mm, 600 Watt element for 1500mm and 900 Watt element for 1800mm

  • Q. Is there a difference in heat output between white and chrome Ladder Rails?
  • A. Yes. Chrome Ladder Rails are approximately 20% less efficient than white, but our experience tells us that the majority of people buying Ladder Rails will buy them for appearance, and would buy a slightly larger model, hence more chrome are sold than white..

  • Q. What if I required a non standard size?
  • A. Discuss with us your dimensions and style and we will, more often than not, be able to source what you want.

We are here to assist you, so please contact us for any advice.
